Visited Costa Rica Sept 2004 and would highly recommend to all....We stayed at the Barcelo Playa Longasta resort and it was great...The rainforest canopy tours are wonderful as was the safari trip on the river...we got to see crocodiles alongside our boat, beautiful white egrets, and even got to see white-faced monkeys come down to our boat and was able to feed them bites of bananas.....The little town of Tamarindo was interesting as well....the weather was humid and hot and the beaches were great too. If you go, visit the monkey park...lots of interesting howler monkeys, toucans, macaws, etc. The food at the Barcelo was great and they have a very good variety...the rooms were clean and the staff was great. I would go back in a heartbeat!
